Estrangement

I wanted a shield,
Shield so bold,
Bold, like my heart and yours.
My heart bold, for you left and I still manged,
Yours bold for you stepped, to left
The scent you used, still smells out,
From that bed sheet.
I wonder why you left.

It every time, reminds me of the very presence of you,
Have tried to scour it thousands of time,
The scent though got washed, but not the memories, we made
Lying on it together.
That up-side down rolling dorsoventrally,
Could not be just smoothed.
And those memories, can just not be foolishly dumped,
For now, my love is the bulwark,
The one so bold,
Bold, standing high for our memories…

  1. really beautiful. people may come and go easily, but their memories can never be forgotten, no matter how hard we try to ‘wash’ them away.
